I'm a tutor who is based out of Chicago, Illinois, where I enjoy practicing gymnastics and exercising when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I've always been passionate about teaching, which is why I decided to pursue my bachelor's degree in elementary education with a concentration in language arts from the University of Illinois, where I'm currently a senior. Soon, I will be certified to teach students from grades K - 8. I have a wealth of experience working as a tutor, which dates back to my time in high school, where I had my first placement in a third grade classroom. This experience led me to want to become a teacher and obtain my teaching license. In college, I've been fortunate enough to work with kids in kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grades. I've also completed observation hours for middle school students. I'm very passionate about education as a vehicle to improve one's life situation. I communicate with both my students and their families to figure out the best way to assist my students. I vary my teaching approach depending upon the individual needs of the student I'm working with. This means that I provide targeted lessons that address precisely the problem areas of my students.
